Complimentary consultation

Family Chiropractic Chatswood offers a complimentary initial consultation to all new patients. The purpose of this consultation is to allow Dr Brett Grant to take a clinical history and conduct an initial evaluation to determine whether chiropractic care may be appropriate for your situation.

What is included in your complimentary consultation:

  • A one-on-one clinical history and initial assessment with Dr Brett Grant

  • The opportunity to share your health concerns and goals

  • An explanation of the possible causes of your condition

  • An honest assessment of whether chiropractic care may be right for you

  • The opportunity to ask questions with no obligation to start treatment

  • No spinal adjustments will be performed at the complimentary consultation.

  • If, following the consultation, Dr Brett does not believe chiropractic care is the right fit for your situation, he will advise you accordingly and point you in the direction of a more appropriate healthcare professional.

Conditions of the complimentary consultation offer

  • This offer is available to new patients only.

  • One complimentary consultation per person.

  • The consultation includes a clinical history and initial evaluation only.

  • It does not include a full musculoskeletal examination, postural assessment, neurological or orthopaedic testing, or X-rays.

  • There is no obligation to proceed with any further examination or treatment following the complimentary consultation

Standard examination fee

If you choose to proceed beyond the complimentary consultation, a standard examination fee of $130 applies.

This examination includes:

  • Posture Screen digital postural assessment

  • Neurological testing

  • Orthopaedic examination

  • Chiropractic spinal assessment

  • Digital X-ray imaging on-site where clinically indicated

All examination fees are payable on the day. Dr Brett will confirm the examination fee with you before proceeding.

Commencement of chiropractic care

Chiropractic care at Family Chiropractic Chatswood will only commence when two conditions are met:

  1. There is a clear clinical benefit identified through the assessment process

  2. The patient has given their informed consent to proceed.

Dr Brett will explain all findings and care plan options clearly before any treatment begins. All associated fees are disclosed upfront. You are under no obligation to begin care at any point in the process.

Fees and payment

Private health fund: Family Chiropractic Chatswood does not have HICAPS terminals. Private health fund rebates are claimable via your health fund app. A receipt is provided at each visit.

DVA patients: The practice accepts Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) patients and manages all associated paperwork. There is no out-of-pocket cost to eligible DVA patients.

Medicare (GPCCMP): The practice accepts Medicare referrals under a GP Chronic Disease Management Plan. Patients pay the consultation fee at the time of the visit and claim the Medicare rebate directly using the receipt provided.

Cancellations and appointments

We ask that patients provide as much notice as possible if they are unable to attend a scheduled appointment. This allows us to offer the appointment time to another patient who may need it.
